A Delhi Police Control Room (PCR) van went to the guide of a 22-year-old lady who was in intense labour pain. The lady brought forth a child baby girl in the police vehicle – with a little assistance from the police staff and her husband.
The lady and the newborn baby were later moved to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, said Delegate Commissioner of Police Monika Bhardwaj
Ms Bhardwaj said police got a phone call at 4.15 am around an injured lady spotted close to a ticket counter at the Old Delhi railroad station.
Police reached the spot, just to discover she was having labour pains. On way to the hospital, police staff in the vehicle helped her give birth.
Ms Bhardwaj said it was not the first such case for Delhi Police.
