Wimbledon 2017: Heather Watson-Henri Kontinen beat Sania Mirza-Ivan Dodig in straight sets


London: A renowned Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig lost the game against British-Finnish pair of Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen in the straight-sets of Wimbledon’s mixed doubles game that took place on Wednesday.

The duo faced a low scoring defeat 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 over their opponent players Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen in the tournament that was held for about one and a half hours on Court No 2.

Now, Watson and Kontinen will play against Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski, Recently, they had beaten Croatian duo Nikola Mektic and Ana Konjuh by 7-6 (5), 6-2 in the quarterfinals round of Wimbledon tournament.

On Monday, Sania Mirza and her Belgian partner Kirsten Flipkens lost the match in the women’s doubles match after facing a straight-sets beat (6-2, 6-4) over Switzerland’s Martina Hingis and Chan Yung-jan of Taiwan in the Round of 16 Match.

Sania and Hingis won the Wimbledon title in year 2015.
