WhatsApp Is Finally Getting The GIF Support


New Delhi : WhatsApp has been working on updates and bug fixes for a long time. This time, WatsApp is reportedly working on an update that will automatically display GIFS, which are pasted in the conversation. As of now, there is no information provided as to if and when, the new feature will roll out to Android.

Twitter account @WABetaInfo, which keeps a track of regular WhatApp beta updates stated that the changelog of WhatsApp beta for iOS is available now.These changes include support for autoplaying gif images when shared as a link, the ability to save the gif image to your camera roll, the ability to directly reply to gif image messages, encryption support for gif sharing, and support for Peek and Pop (3D Touch) actions on gif images. This news comes shortly after rival messaging service Viber brought gif image support to its platform. Rumour also has it that WhatsApp is expected to introduce video calling. Last major update to Whatsapp was the addition of document sharing on WhatsApp Web.
