Vodafone to allow its M-Pesa customers to withdraw cash through their digital wallets


Vodafone India will permit its 8.4 million or more Vodafone M-Pesa clients to withdraw money through their digital wallets from any of its more than 120,000 outlets the nation over, the organization said on Wednesday.

"Vodafone M-Pesa clients don't have to remain in long lines outside ATMs and bank offices for money. We have invested in building a nationwide network of more than 120,000 M-Pesa outlets, comparable to the quantities of bank offices in the nation," said Suresh Sethi, Business Head, Vodafone M-Pesa, in an announcement.

More than 56 percent of these outlets are located in country India.

"Our clients can visit any of these outlets and utilize the special money out element of Vodafone M-Pesa to pull back money from their advanced wallets at their own accommodation. Promote, our computerized wallet also can be effectively carefully stacked through credit/check cards or net keeping money," he included.

Clients need to convey a character confirmation to their closest M-Pesa outlet from where they can pull back cash, subject to accessibility, in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India rules, the announcement included.
