A solid middle-order batsman and a live-wire on the field, Mohammad Kaif still holds a special place in the hearts of Team India fans, despite last playing an international match over a decade back. He continues to ply his trade at the domestic level, captaining Chattisgarh in the Ranji Trophy. He recently completed a personal milestone in his career, going past 10,000 first-class runs.

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag praised Mohammad Kaif on completing 10,000 runs in first-class cricket. On Sunday, Sehwag took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate Kaif’s new feat in his typical way. He wrote that, “Congrats @MohammadKaif ji,on 10,000 first-class runs. 9000 to Daud Daud ke hi bhaage honge. Is pakdam pakdai ur 2nd fav sport? #MehnatiBatsman”.

Mohammad Kaif not being too far from trolling the ‘Troll King’, he tweeted back to Sehwag in the same style. Originally from Allahabad, the experienced player is turning up for another team other than the Uttar Pradesh team as he continues to seek relevance in Indian cricket.

Kaif joined Indian National Congress and contested 2014 Loksabha election from Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh, and lost to Keshav Prasad Maurya of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Post retirement, Sehwag has become the voice of Indian cricket with his intelligent and yet entertaining tweets and commentary. He is currently occupied with hindi commentary team in the ongoing India-New Zealand series.

Viru has brought Test cricket back to life with his spell-bound conversations with fellow commentators and captivating one liners. And at the same time, his is busy posting hillarious birthday wishes on Twitter.
