Srinagar: Conflicts break out on Saturday in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district following security forces killed two terrorists in a joint anti-terror operation. The violence carried by Army, police forces, Special Operations Group (SOG) and 44 Rashtriya Rifles personnel.
Sources further conveyed that security officials cordoned off Tahab area following receiving intellect inputs regarding the presence of 3-4 terrorists. Following the haunt strengthen, the terrorists fired on the security forces, causing an encounter that killed them.
Terrorists have been recognized as Shabir Ahmad Mir and Shariq Ahmad, who were allied to the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. People of Kashmir attended Shariq’s last rites at his ancestral Takuna village of Pulwama.
Over three rounds of funeral prayers were held where people raised pro-Islam and pro-freedom slogans. Sources further revealed that following the gun-battle, conflicts broke out in Tahab, wounding one.
