Violence continues for 88th consecutive day in Kashmir; normal life affected


Srinagar: The violence between security forces and militants remain continued in Kashmir Valley on 88th day on Tuesday.  Normal life of people has become paralyzed.

Officials said, “Sufficient deployments of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and state police were made in the valley as well as all district headquarters to maintain peace.”

The protest will remain continue by women even today.

For the peaceful protest, women will assemble in the valley and occupy city squares, market places and traffic inter-sections.

Since 8 July, the protest and the rallies remain continued in Jammu and Kashmir, a day after top militant Commander Burhan Wani was killed in a gunfight with the security forces.

Schools, colleges and universities remain shut in the valley for the last 88 days. Main markets, public transport and other businesses were also closed.

The reports revealed that the train services between Kashmir and Bannihal town in Jammu region were also closed even on the 88th day.

The death toll has reached to around 90 people while around 12,000 were wounded in the protest.
