Vietnam: Death Toll in typhoon Damrey reaches to 61


Heavy downpours and flood situation along Vietnam’s south-central coast reached to 61 on Tuesday. It occurred due to Typhoon Damrey.

The most likely hit areas were Danang that witnessed muddy flood waters and lot of destruction.

The death toll has risen to 61 with sufferers submerging in floods, landslides and overturned boats at sea. “We are looking for over 20 others,” the official affirmed.

Authorities stated that the rivers were flowing high in central and southern areas of Vietnam.

In October, Flooding and landslides in northern and central regions killed over 70 people. In September, nearly 11 people lost their lives in storm Doksuri.
