Venus Williams defeats Johanna Konta in Wimbledon 2017


A renowned tennis player Venus Williams won the game against British player Johanna Konta by 6-4, 6-2  on Thursday in Wimbledon’s tournament that took place on Thursday.

Now, Venus Williams will play against Garbine Muguruza in the final match that will take place on Saturday. She clinched the Wimbledon title nine years back. Williams has a lot of experience in her field and she is very powerful for her opponent player.

In the beginning of game, seven-times grand slam winner, Konta was not capable to put Williams under stress and finished the tournament by losing eight games among 10.

Ahead Williams finally finished her battle, Konta clinched two match points before hitting a forehand that flew past Konta.

“I’ve played a lot of finals here. One more win will be amazing. It won’t be a given but I’ll give it my all,” Williams said.

“The crowd were very nice to me. The crowd were so fair, I know they love Jo.”

Konta’s one opportunity to disturb Williams came in the ninth round of the primary set when the Briton made two break focuses, yet Williams spared the first with a strike champ and propelled a 106mph second serve to level the score at deuce.
