Today in an interview, the Badlaapur Star said that the debate on ‘Nepotism’ in the Indian industry was started by Kangana Ranuat and according to the actor, Kangana was right to a certain extent but later blown out of proportion.

This controversy further got fire when in an event, Varun along with Karan and actor Saif Ali Khan made fun of Kangana over the particular issue.
In an interview When asked about Kangana’s accuses over karan Johar that, ‘Karan has only launched “star kids”, Varun speaked up, “Who all has he launched by now? They’re all star kids right? Then it’s not an accusation, it’s the truth…”
“To a certain extent what she is saying is right. I think this matter was blown up. She was just trying to get a point across. She wanted to say it in her own way but people stretched it too much. But we are a fraternity,” Varun further added.
Moreover, The Badrinath aka Varun Dhawan said that Karan Johar had also launched a lot of budding filmmakers, who don’t even belong to the film industry.
In the support of his statement Varun said “But Karan has also launched a lot of directors like Shashank Khaitan, who is a very dear friend of mine. He is from Nashik and had nothing to do with film family. He gave a script to Karan, who believed in his dreams.
‘Karan has also launched Siddhart Malhotra, who is not even from Bollywood’, said Varun in support of Karan.
Apparently, Varun is busy with the promotions of his upcoming Judwaa2, which stars Varun in double role, Taapssee and Jacquline as his love interest. Judwaa 2 is releasing on the 29 September 2017.
