Vadodara: Crocodile found inside house’s bathroom, rescued


VADODARA: A resident of Jaynarayan Nagar on Dabhoi Road in Vadodara couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a crocodile resting just a few feet away from his house.The crocodile had entered the bathroom of his neighbour Sumitra Patel's house on Sunday .

Narendra Vasava immediately alerted other neighbours who rushed to the spot. "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the reptile in the bathroom. It lay there for a while. We have never seen a crocodile in our society ," Narendra told media. He immediately called the Fire Brigade that rushed to the spot with animal activists.

The crocodile was rescued and taken away to its centre by forest officials. "There is a storm water drain near the colony . The crocodile must have come out of it and entered the colony ," said animal activist Rakesh Vadhwana. On Saturday night too, a three and half foot crocodile was rescued from P&T Colony in Harni area. The reptile had ventured out of a water body and was heading towards Vishwamitri river when some locals spotted it.
