Uttar Pradesh: Teen hangs self after failing to withdraw money for exam fees


A teenage student around 18-year-old after failing to withdraw money from bank or ATMs as per the demonetization effect for submitting his examination fee allegedly committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s Mavai Buzurg village, police officials said.

According to the statement of the local police officials for past several days Suresh had been standing in long queues for withdrawing money to submit his examination fees but he could not succeed.

On Tuesday after returning from the bank, the 18-year-old student allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling with the help of his mother’s saree, police officials further said.

As reported by the family members of Suresh’s family he was a B.Sc second-year student in Panchnehi Degree College and had to submit fees by Wednesday.

Police officials said that a case has been lodged and investigations are underway.

Protesting villagers started pelting stones at the bank office after hearing about the tragic suicide incident.

Prior to this a four year old child lost her life in a bank compound On Monday as her father had failed to withdraw money for her treatment in Tindwari police station area.
