Uttar Pradesh Bus Accident: PM Modi Announces Rs. 2 Lakh to kins Of 22 dead People


NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi today announced to give Rs 2 lakh each to the victim’s family of bus accident in Uttar Pradesh.

He affirmed that Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured in the accident. The accident took place after the collision between a truck and a bus in Bareilly. Nearly twenty- two persons died and 15 others wounded in the collision.

“The bus accident in UP’s Bareilly is heart-rending. I condole the loss of lives. I pray that those injured recover at the earliest,” Modi stated.

He authorized the ex-gratia relief from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), the PMO stated.

As per the reports, Bus driver Chandra Shekhar Shukla and conductor Akhtar Azeez Farooqui have also been wounded and they are currently undergoing healing at a hospital.

Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus was going to Gonda from New Delhi through Bareilly.

The investigation is in process by Inspector General of Police S.K. Bhagat, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jogendra Kumar and other officials.
