NEW YORK: Australia’s Nick Kyrgios lost the game against Roger Federer at the US Open tournament that took place on Wednesday. Now, he has been eliminated from the tournament after his right shoulder injury.
During the quarter finals game, 14th seed Nick Kyrgios couldn’t able to won the game against John Millman 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1.
“I know in the back of my mind Nick’s shoulder worsen as the match went on,” Millman stated.
“He’s a teammate. He’s a great guy on and off the court. I feel for him. I really do.” he affirmed.
Kyrgios tolerated an injury during the game. Earlier, he suffered hip injury during Wimbledon, right shoulder injury also eliminated him at Washington.
Though, he was selected for the ATP Cincinnati Masters final two weeks back to play against Grigor Dimitrov.
“One serve and arm is totally dead. It’s so dead and numb. It’s incredibly weak,” Kyrgios affirmed. “How can something happen all of a sudden? I wasn’t feeling it at all and then Bang, one serve. I lost power in my serve.” he said.
Aggravation raised as Kyrgios shouted an obscenity during injury in his right hand following smashing a row after the fifth game.
“My forehand is painful. It’s so irritating,” Kyrgios said.
Kyrgios said, “I try hard and then one serve I can feel it. I don’t get it. I don’t know what to do.”
“I’m feeling good. I finally have a good week last week, come to the US Open feeling good, playing a good match against an Aussie, third set and it’s throbbing.” he stated.
