Mumbai: The tension between India and Pakistan refuses to settle down and with the attack on the Uri Army camp on September 18, the Indian political parties have been demanding stricter actions on part of the government.
The developments have been subsequent. From External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj taking down on Pakistan against the terrorist activities to India pulling out of the upcoming SAARC summit in Islamabad. While India is still reviewing the Most Favoured Nation(MFN) status to Pakistan, the demand to bar Pakistani artistes has been a constant.
The RSS had earlier demanded actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s movies to remove them, a concert in millennium city has been cancelled since Pakistani singer Atif Aslam was scheduled to perform here. And now, Shiv Sena has also expressed their discontentment with the course of action.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today strongly condemned the Uri attack, further stating in strong words that India should destroy Pakistan completely. He said that Pakistan should be taught a lesson whether by blood or water, it does not matter.
The nation was appalled by the Uri attack that killed 18 Army-men, but getting no response on the big attack from Pakistani artistes has further fueled up the affairs. Raut said that till now he has not met a single Pakistani artiste who has condemned the Uri attack.
The silence from the lot of Pakistani artistes like Mahira Khan, Mawra Hocane, Ali Zafar amongst many others has been targeted by political parties as a point of insensitivity towards a nation which has been giving them work.
