All the candidates who showed up for the UPSC IAS preparatory examination on August 7 can now check the paper analysis here.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) effectively led the preparatory examination on August 7.
According to reports, this year more than 11.36 lakhs hopefuls from the country over showed up for the prelims examination.
From Chandigarh and Ludhiana alone, 52,000 candidates showed up for the prelims exam at 127 centres.
The examination was directed in two stages. The primary stage began from 9.30 am and proceeded till 11.30 am while the second stage initiated on 2.30 pm and proceeded till 4.30 pm.
Subsequent to seeing the inquiry paper, it has been seen that, this year as well, there was spotlight on various inquiries.
In a selective meeting with India Today, Kanchan Garg, an UPSC hopeful said, "The paper was simple and direct."
While clarifying about the inquiry paper, Kanchan said, "Around 70 for each penny inquiries were from current undertakings, three to four inquiries from country, five to six inquiries from history and two to four inquiries from geology subject."
More on paper examination:
•As per reports, larger part of the inquiries were from present and contemporary improvement
•There were very few inquiries from History and Geography subjects
• Like in history and society segment, more inquiries (general 16) were asked on the Indian society than on the current India
• In specific, there were a considerable measure of inquiries from Climatology and government projects and plans
• About 40-45 inquiries were asked from economy and current issues.
Generally, this year inquiries were on current undertakings, framework and administration, law, social and monetary law and there changes.
Further, it is normal that the cut-off for a normal understudy is relied upon to be around 110-120 numbers.
According to authority plan, the fundamental examination will be directed on December 3, 2016.
