Delhi Metro train workers are liable to spend more from their handbag, as the Fair Fixation Committee has prescribed a sharp increment of up to 66 for each penny in ticket costs.
A source aware of the report said that the board has prescribed the most minimal passages to be expanded to Rs 10 from Rs 8, and the greatest charge to Rs 50 from Rs 30, at present.
"The Fair Fixation Committee has presented its report after its solicitation for giving it three months expansion was turned around the Urban Development Ministry," the source said.Now the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) board, headed by the Urban Development Secretary Rajiv Gauba, will accept a last approach the Committee's suggestions on passage climb, the source included.
DMRC had last time updated the charges in 2009.
The Government had in June this year set up the three-part advisory group under previous Delhi High Court judge, Justice (retd) M L Mehta to investigate charge amendment issue and report inside three months.
Prior, DMRC had proposed a five-section charge framework in the scope of Rs 10-50 to alleviate the unfriendly effect on its money related wellbeing.
The board had not long ago looked for a 3-month augmentation from the Government for accommodation of its report, which was turned around the Ministry, abandoning it with no alternative however to present its report.
