SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has taken decision to visit Kashmir for two days in order to calm down the situation in the Valley that is going on due to the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen.
During his two day visit, the Directors General (DGs) of paramilitary, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will also accompany him.
According to official sources, “Mr Singh will a high level security meeting in Srinagar in addition to one-on-one interaction with state Governor Narinder Nath Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. He is scheduled to fly back to Delhi on Sunday afternoon.”
At the time clashes for over two weeks, more than 40 people have died and over 2000 have severely wounded.
Moreover, 3,000 paramilitary troops have been already sent to the state to help the state government in restoring peace in Kashmir.
