In context of Monika Ghurde murder, the accused Rajkumar Singh was detained in Bengaluru hotel on October 9.
Monika Ghurde was assassinated at her flat in Goa where she was found nude. The news was confirmed by the investigators. The accused went to the kitchen and ate two boiled eggs. Later, Rajkumar rushed from the spot just after the incident, leading English Newspaper said.
A senior officer affirmed that they did not know whether the accused had done the shooting of Ghurde’s nude body.
In Goa, she was found dead in her three-bedroom rented apartment in Sangolda village. On 6 October, Ghurde’s body was recuperated from the flat while the probe remain continues by the officials. She was killed on October 5.
Currently, the Goa Police is interrogating Rajkumar to dig out the facts regarding the matter.
Earlier, Rajkumar used to work as a security guard in a building complex where Ghurde stayed earlier. Several residents complained about Ghurde and she was even fired from the job.
"The accused was arrested from Bengaluru, where he had checked into a hotel after committing the crime," Deputy Inspector General of Police Vimal Gupta told PTI.
The fashion designer turned-perfumer had been living alone in the level since July 2015. Gupta said police had held up a murder case after her repelled spouse Bharat Ramamrutam documented an objection with Saligao Police Station.
Rajkumar had stolen Ghurde's two ATM cards and cell phone, and exchanges made through them helped the police to track him, he said. The 22 years of age blamed had likewise clicked a selfie before a shop in Bengaluru and posted it on Facebook, reported Deccan Chronicle.
