Unaccounted money worth over Rs. 60 lakh has been seized from a man on a bus in Kerala


Unaccounted money to the tune of Rs. 61.98 lakh, for the most part in the scrapped Rs. 1,000 category, was seized from a traveler at the transport remain in Kozhikode today. The man has been arrested, police said.

The seizure was made by a police group drove by Nadakkav Sub-Inspector Gopakumar amid a standard check when 45-year old Rasheed from Ernakulam area, who touched base in Kozhikode by a transport, left the KSRTC transport remain at 4:30 am, the police said.

The traveler couldn't give any supporting record to represent the money, police said, including the seized notes have been sent to bank for confirming their validity after which advance move would be made.
