Udaipur: Man sets wife ablaze


Udaipur: On Tuesday a little quarrel between a couple turned to be terrific, when in anger husband poured kerosene on the wife and set her ablaze. On Tuesday the horrific occurrence took place at Daiyyawada village under Pahada police station.

55-year-old Farmer axed to death in Bundi district

It was revealed that the couple used to argue repeatedly and on Monday it worsened. Indict Ramseh Chandra Kharadai was a drunkard and spent all money on liquor. On Monday evening, accused Ramesh took Rs 200 more from his wife Jeeja Devi (40) on alleged reason of making payment for some ground leveling work done in their house.

Though the actual payment was Rs 1600 but Ramesh took Rs 1,800 from her wife. When she came to know the truth, she opposed him which resulted in big quarrel between the couple. The angry husband poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze.

Their three kids, who were eye witnesses, screamed for help. But, their mother was harshly burnt by the time neighbors arrived at the spot. She was admitted to a nearby hospital in Udaipur. She succumbed to her burn injury later.

Jeevat Ram, SHO Pahada police station has also further conveyed that, the indicted ran away into the jungle and a squad of police is searching for him. An FIR has been lodged next to him on the basis of complaint received by fatality’s brother.
