Bharatpur: Police arrested two persons arrested for allegedly stealing musical instruments in Mathuragte area of Bharatpur on Monday. The main accused is a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) student who used to teach music in school.
According to police, on September 9, the management of Saraswati Sangeet Vidhyalaya lodged a complaint of theft of various musical instruments from their school. Soonafter, a team was constituted. Following various technical investigation, three persons were brought to police station as suspects. After thorough interrogation, they confessed their crime.
"It was found that one Mohit Sharma (21) who used to teach music in this school and is presently pursuing BDS is in the habit of taking narcotic drugs. On the basis of suspicion, he was brought for interrogation which got us his friend, identified as Purroshotam. Both have confessed their crimes and were arrested," said Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, superintendent of police, Bharatpur, on Tuesday.
"During interrogation the accused confessed that they are addicted to narcotic drugs. In order to meet their demand of money they conspired and executed the burglary. They were planning to sell these musical instruments at some shop outside state," said a senior police officer.
Police have not ruled out the possibility of any plan to deliver these musical instruments to the drug peddler who used to provide them narcotic drugs.Police arrests 'Musical' burglars; two held for stealing musical instruments from music school.
