After the popularity of Snapchat and Facebook flaunting its Facebook’s Live Video feature, Twitter too realized to make a move by presenting Periscope, as it doesn’t want to lose the momentum on live video on Facebook for sure.
The micro blogging platform has integrated Periscope live video functionality in its main app available to everyone- Android as well as iOS, as per announcement made on Wednesday.
With the options of adding a photo & a video, twitter will now allow it’s users to go live with Periscope. However, it will prompt its users to download the Periscope app.
The company tweeted "Ready to go live? Now everyone can tap a new button on iOS & Android to easily broadcast on #Periscope from Twitter!"
Twitter made some big changes, at least in the context of 140 characters or less. Photos, videos and other media will no longer count towards Twitter's 140-character limit in the near future.
Another change being, any new tweets beginning with an @username will be seen by all followers. Previously, a tweet that started with a person's handle did not become a part of their feed.
