Salman Khan starrer ” Tubelight ” was one of the much-awaited movies of this year. Although it didn’t fare well at the box office with it comes to crashing records, the film nonetheless went past the Rs 100 crore club in only six days of its discharge.
As per a latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com, “Tubelight” raked in Rs 3 crore on Sunday taking the total to Rs 110.07 crore over the weekend. With an overwhelming response in the first week, the film gathered as much as Rs 102.57 crore. The second weekend saw an upward graph with Friday’s collections being Rs 2 crore followed by Rs 2.50 crore and Rs 3 crore on Saturday and Sunday.
Salman sportingly took the response from the critics saying, “The critics were really good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 yet they gave 1, 1.5 apparently, so I am very pleased.” However, few reports expressed that Chinese performing artist Zhu Zhu quite unhappy with the way this film turned out at the cinema world.
This is likewise Salman’s shortest film thus far, with his past movies like ‘Sultan’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ ranging between 2 hours and 45 minutes to 3 hours. The film was cleared with only one verbal cut.
