Trucks only allowed to enter Capital after midnight till Jan 31 2017, says Lt Governor Najeeb Jung

Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday requested that trucks originating from different states will be permitted to enter Delhi simply after 12 pm till January 31 one year from now. In spite of the fact that the LG has lifted a restriction on development and decimation movement forced a week ago, the prohibition on sparklers and diesel creating sets will proceed in the city.

Jung held a survey meeting on state of air contamination which was gone to by PWD serve Satyendar Jain, Environment serve Imran Hussain and others. The last meeting had been led by him on November 7, where he had requested to de-enroll diesel vehicles more established than 15 years “The L-G has requested Transport Department to permit section of trucks in Delhi simply after 12 pm till January 31, 2017 to cut down air contamination level,” an authority said.

At present, trucks originating from different states are permitted in the national capital from 11pm onwards. The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPPC) said in the meeting that it has recorded a fall of about 30 for each penny in PM 10 levels and 25 for each penny in PM 2.5 level in the most recent week. Authorities said that the boycott forced in development and annihilation movement was lifted in perspective of loss of pay to every day wage workers.

Nonetheless, boycott will proceed on sparklers and diesel generators sets. Jung has trained to make a move against violators of prohibition on sparklers, especially amid marriage season, the LG office said in an announcement. The Lt Governor was educated that over Rs 1.5 crore income was produced from violators of development/obliteration movement in the most recent one week.

The Special Commissioner (movement) educated that development has been halted at 539 destinations and 29 cases have been enlisted. On de-enrollment of diesel vehicles more seasoned than 15 years, Jung was notified that 763 vehicles have been deregistered and 1,795 challans issued.

In perspective of seizing of expansive number of vehicles, he has coordinated DDA will advance space/pits to Traffic Police to incidentally stop these vehicles. Jung guided the Transport Department to present a far reaching proposition in the following meeting to scrap the seized vehicles. The Special CP movement educated 3,033 noticeably dirtying vehicles and vehicles not conveying PUC testament have been challaned.
