Six PSU bank employees have decided to do strike tomorrow to join trade union. They are doing protest "anti-labour policies" of the government.
Numerous banks have told their clients about trouble for one day. The notice have been issued by Unions like AllIndiaBank Employees' Association (AIBEA), Bank Employees Federation of India(BEFI), AllIndiaBank Officers' Association (AIBOA), AllIndiaBank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) and Indian National Bank Officers Congress(INBOC). Bank employees have told that they will go on a one-day strike on September 2.
The services of the bank will get affected for one day.
"Bank unions are opposing anti-peopleBankingreforms, privatisation of banks, closure of associate banks and Mergerwith SBI," AIBOC General Secretary Harvinder Singh said.
“There is continuous attempt by the government to push their reforms agenda aimed at privatisation of banks, consolidation and Mergerof banks and the like”, said Aibe a General Secretary C H Venkatachalam.
The reports have revealed National Organization of Bank Workers (NOBW) and National Organization of Bank Officers are not involved in the strike.
"As Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) is not part of central trade union strike, we as an affiliated organisation are not participating," said NOBW Vice-President Ashwani Rana.
“Banks have taken necessary steps to ensure smooth functioning and that there is no cash crunch for retail customers,” an official of a public sector bank said.
