New Delhi: Toyota Innova Crysta has been launched in India with two diesel engine options. But since December the Supreme Court has imposed the diesel ban in the Delhi-NCR region which has affected sales of the new vehicle.
To make the Innova Crysta available in these regions, the Japanese manufacturer will now be introducing a petrol variant of the same by the festive season of Diwali. Toyota is developing a 2.7-litre petrol engine for the innova Crysta.
Also, Toyota is offering exchange discounts for its valued customers who have the previous generation Innova.
The new Toyota model will face a tough competition from the Mahindra Scorpio and XUV 5OO, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Honda Mobilio.
The Innova Crysta has been priced at Rs 13.88 lakh which goes up to Rs 20.78 lakh for the top end model.
The company had almost 15,000 bookings for the Crysta since its launch.
