Srinagar: The Indian Army troops have killed three Hizbul Mujhahideen militants in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday. After receiving a suspect regarding militant movement in Panzgam village in Pulwama, the joint team of the Army and the Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to smoke out the militants.
The terrorists opened fire on the security forces upon which heavy fire was returned in kind. All three terrorists were killed in the encounter that ensued and weapons were also recovered from them.
The militants were identified as Ishfaq Baba of Tahab, Ishfaq Dar of Dogripora and Haseb Paul of Brao Bandyun.
Three AK rifles were also recovered from the encounter site. Security forces continued combing operations to secure the area.
