Threat Calls received at Kolkata Airport, Bomb Scare on Air India flight


An Air India Flight AI-29 reported bomb threats at Netaji Subhas Chandra International Airport on Tuesday morning. The flight was going to Kolkata on Tuesday morning.

The airport authorities received threat calls at around 8 am when the flight was going to Kolkata.

A search operation has been started by the CISF and airport authorities while the investigation has been started in the plane.

"We have evacuated the aircraft and now it has been taken to the isolation bay, where search operation is being carried out. Till now, we have not been able to find anything on board the aircraft," said a senior official of the CISF, in charge of the airport security.

The location of the accused has been traced by the Bidhannagar City Police. Sources disclosed that the woman who had called identified herself as a resident of Rajarhat.
