A 15-year-old girl was supposedly assaulted by her neighbor in west Delhi's Khyala region, police said on Thursday.
The family of the girl, a class VI student, claimed that the charged (32) went into their home while the guardians were away in the evening, and forced himself on the youngster on October 3, police said.
"The girl's family approached the police on Thursday and a case under segment 376 of the IPC and relevent sections of POCSO was enrolled," a senior cop said.
The blamed is the nearby neighbor of the girl's family and works as a labourer. The victim's parents likewise work as labourers.
The blamed is presently out for town with his better half and three children, and is expected to return tomorrow and will be addressed, police said.
As per the neighbors of the denounced and victim, their families had a fight on October 3 and since then the blamed and his family had left Delhi for one of their relative's place, the officer said.
