Thane: 44-year-old mental hospital staffer harmed after patient pierces him in neck with scissors


A 44-year-old attendant, Dattaram Gurkunde, working with the regional mental health hospital endured genuine wounds after a patient cut him in the neck with a couple of scissors on Wednesday evening.

”The patient had entered one of the medical attendant’s room at night. Frightened on observing the patient, the woman yelled for offer assistance. On hearing her cries, I and another attendant raced to the spot and attempted to draw in the patient in a discussion. They then requesting that he hold the scissors down, which he complied. Be that as it may, when they were going to leave the room, the patient turned back, got the scissors and wounded me on the neck,” said Gurkunde. The patient was conceded only a day prior to the incident.

Gurkunde is experiencing treatment at the Thane civil hospital. Doctors have held him under perceptions as he endured a profound cut that has torn his neck muscle.
