Bangkok Thai police raided a building in Bangkok suspecting a passport forging operation. The police officers arrested five people and discovered guns, crystal meth, fake passports and a dead body in a freezer.
According to Sanit Mahathavorn, the Bangkok Police chief, The suspects include three English-speaking men and a Burmese woman and her husband.
Police said they were still confirming the nationalities of the three English speakers, who were reported to be two Americans and one Briton according to the local media.
Police said that during the raid one of the suspects turned from a safe he was opening and opened fired, injuring one officer.
A body of a "foreign man with blond hair" was then found inside a large freezer on the ground floor."His body was cut with a sharp object into six pieces, put in a black bag and brought into the freezer," the police chief told reporters.
Surachet Hakpan, the national tourist police commander said, “The group had rented the building for three months. The tourism police investigated and found out that international criminals were staying at that place and using it to do wrong things.”
