Teenage girl gangraped in Artemis hospital of Gurgaon


Gurgaon: A teenage girl was allegedly assaulted by two men on the building of Artemis Hospital of Sector 51 in Gurgaon. The victim used to stay with her mother in Gurgaon.

According to the police, the girl was raped after being forcibly taken to a vacant room in the hospital on the afternoon of July 30. The victim and the men work in the housekeeping department of the hospital.

The accused have been arrested by the police officials just after the next day of the incident. The suspects have been identified as Pradeep and Muni Raj.

 “The medical examination of the victim has been done. She has recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Hawa Singh.

The police officials told that Pradeep is a resident of Mahendergarh while Muni Raj belongs to West Bengal.

The hospital spokesperson said, “The accused and the victim were outsourced from an agency, and were not part of the organisation.”

They further added that, “The crime happened outside the hospital premises. She refuted allegations that the hospital had refused to approach the police over the incident.”
