Team India support staff to be decided by September, says Anurag Thakur


Anurag Thakur, BCCI president announced that the support staff will be selected before September 15 on Sunday.

For the selection of the support staff, the meeting would be conducted with Anil Kumble and other board members after Indian team will come back from West Indies tour.

Anurag said, "We will decide on the appointment of the coaches for bowling, batting and fielding and other support staff at the meeting."

"Based on his performance, the decision on the contract would be taken,” Anurag said while speaking about Kumble's selection as head coach for just a one-year period.

No day night test matches between India and New Zealand will be played this year, he said.

"The New Zealand tour of India will be day matches. For now, pink ball will be used only for the Duleep Trophy which will be a day-and-night affair," he revealed.
