Mumbai: Automobile company Tata Motors launched electric version of its Compact Sedan Tigor car today. As per the reports, the company has made this electric edition in its Sanand factory.
During the launch occasion, Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group, N Chandrasekaran and Managing Director of Tata Motors Guenture Bushchek were present.
Chandrasekharan stated, “We are working together to build the future of e-mobility and I have full faith that the customer will like this electric model.”
The government is aiming to do production of only electric cars by 2030 to curb air pollution.
The company emerged as the winner of the ESEL’s 10,000 E-cars. Later, Mahindra & Mahindra was also given the opportunity to come up with 150 E-Veritos car.
