New Delhi: On Friday Tata Motors accounted a 16 per cent increase in global sales at 86,288 units, counting that of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, in August. Tata Motors conveyed in a regulatory filing that, in August 2015 the corporation had sold 74,639 units.
In the passenger vehicles category, global sales stood at 56,104 units previous month as next to 44,956 units throughout the similar period a year ago, up 25 per cent.
Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover raise 28 per cent to 42,260 units in August in comparison with 33,103 units in the similar month previous year. Sales of commercial vehicles remained flat at 30,184 units from 29,683 units in the year-ago month.
