Tamil people vocalist Thiruvudaiyan dies close to Madurai


Tamil society vocalist Thiruvudaiyan kicked the bucket on the spot when an auto he was going in hit a stationary vehicle close Madurai in the early hours of Monday. He was 48.

More than 22,000 auto on strike; travelers left in reel 

The vocalist's sibling, P Thandapani, and the auto driver, Thangapandian, who endured wounds, were raced to Government Rajaji Hospital here. Them two endured breaks on their legs. 

Police said the mishap occurred around 1.30am while they were making a trip to Madurai. The mischance happened close Vadipatti Electricity Board office. 

Thiruvudaiyan, a local of Sankarankovil, used to sing at political gathering gatherings, particularly at the gatherings led by CPM. He had sung a couple of tunes in Tamil motion pictures like "Virumaandi," "Madha Yaanai Koottam," and "Mayilu."
