Supreme Court rejects plea for probe into NEET leak


New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused a plea seeking court-monitored probe into the alleged leakage of the NEET-II question papers in Uttarakhand.

“No we will not. We do not want to monitor any probe. The courts are not meant for that. It is the duty of the police and CBSE to examine the issue, ensure there is no hanky panky and take a decision”, the court told lawyers who appeared for petitioner and an aspirant Anshul Sharma.

Refusing to call for the status report on the investigation on Friday, the bench permitted the petitioner to approach the Uttarakhand High Court if there was fresh material in support of his contention.
