A suicide bomber dressed as a veiled lady killed 14 individuals and injured 13 others in a displacement camp west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday, security sources said.
ISIS terrorists, who have been facing mounting US-backed offensives in Iraq and neighboring Syria, guaranteed responsibility for the assault.
The camp known as “kilo 60” houses individuals forced out of Sunni Muslim areas control by ISIS in the Euphrates river valley, the sources said.
The terrorists said in an announcement they had been targeting an Iraqi army position.
The hardline Sunni group has all but lost its capital in Iraq, Mosul, while its capital in Syria, Raqqa, is isolated from rest of the territory under its control over the border.
