Srinagar assault: A CRPF commandant and two aggressors were executed in a gunfight in Nowhatta

"Aggressors assaulted a CRPF post," a police official had told IANS.

Pramod Kumar, commandant of the 49 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was murdered after four activists heaved a projectile and opened flame at a security watch in an old city territory.

Nine paramilitary troopers were additionally harmed in the assault. They have been moved to a healing center.

Police said the aggressors went into a house in Nowhatta – near the memorable Jamia Masjid, the primary mosque in Srinagar. "Two of the activists were gunned down and the other two are as yet shooting from the house," a cop told IANS.
