Srinagar: 2 Army jawans killed and others injured in Pakistan firing


Srinagar:  Officials has conveyed that, today two Army men died and six other, counting 3 civilians were wounded as Pakistani troops crushed numerous villages and areas with mortar bombs down the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

The officials further conveyed that, terrorists penetrate into Kashmir from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) via the Gurez sector which was blocked by the Indian troops who killed one of the mole. Around 8,000 people have been influenced by Pakistani firing in the previous two days and 3,361 border migrants have been shifted into camps.

Nine people, counting 6 soldiers were killed and 18 other wounded in gunfire violations by the Pakistani Army along the LoC this month. The Pakistani troops targeted numerous areas of Rajouri, Poonch and Kupwara regions of along the LoC.

Firing risks the lives of hundreds of school children in Rajouri district. Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has also conveyed that, the evacuated around 250 people, in which 217 students, who were trapped in schools Rajouri close to the LoC for 6 hours. They were rescued in bulletproof vehicles.

The defence representative has also further added that, Today Pakistani troops started shelling on Indian Army posts in Naushera sector in Rajouri.  An Army man Jaspreet Singh died in the Pakistani firing in Naushera sector in Rajouri district.

The 24-year-old jawan sleeted from Talwandi in Moga district of Punjab. Three other civilians wounded in Pakistani firing along the LoC in Naushera sector and been hospitalised. One Army jawan suffered minor grievance in firing in the Bhimbher Gali sector. The Pakistani Army targeted local civilian areas and Indian Army posts along the LoC in Bhimbher Gali of Rajouri district.
