Sri Lanka declares 15-man team for Bangladesh ODIs


New Delhi: Sri Lankan Player Angelo Mathews has been eliminated from 15-member team for the three-match one-day international series that will start against Bangladesh next week.

The reports revealed that Upul Tharanga will do captaincy of the team in ODI tournament that will take place from March 25 at the Dambulla international stadium.

In January, player Mathew was removed from the team as he suffered ankle injury. Currently, Sri Lanka is playing the two-match Test series over Bangladesh.

In the ODI series, Sri Lanka`s cricket board had expected that the normal skipper would be able to play.

In the upcoming matches, players Kusal Perera and Thisara Perera will play in the three-match ODI series over Bangladesh. The matches will begin from March 25 in Dambulla.

Player Pereras have been included into the ODI squad against England Lions.

Thisara had hit a match-winning 56 not out off 35 in the main informal ODI, and took two wickets for 17 in the second. Then again, Kusal had struck two fifties in the three amusements he played and snatched the consideration of the selectors.
