The murder is suspected to be a case of Honor Killing by the local police officials.

Susheela who belonged to an upper caste family from Jhajjar, married Pradeep a few years ago. “A case has been registered against the unidentified assailants but it is suspected that he (Pradeep) could have been murdered by the girl’s family,” Kharkhoda police station in-charge Karambir Singh said.

Susheela was nine months pregnant as per the statement given by the police officials. According to0 the neighbours of the family the duo met during studies at MDU in Rohtak, where they fell in love and married each other against the wishes of Susheela’s family. Since then, Susheela’s family ended all the terms with Susheela and had not been talking to them.

While the two injured family members have been admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak, 40km from Kharkhoda the bodies of the deceased family members were sent for post-mortem.
