Pune: The Pune police on arrested four minor boys aged between 10 and 14 for allegedly gang raping a six-year-old girl in Chinchwad on Saturday afternoon. The four boys who have been detained by the police in this incident were arrested after the girl told her mother about the incident and a case aginst all the four was later registered.
The incident took place around 1 pm on Saturday in a slum area in Chinchwad acoording to the information given by the Pimpri police. The father of the girl who is a labourer by profession at first lodged a complaint against all four. Four minor boys aged 14, 13, 13 and 10 living in the same area were deatained by the Pimpri police between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
As indicated by the FIR lodged, the episode occurred when the young lady was playing alone in front of her home, when the young men persuasively took her to a spot close to a scrap godown in the area. The FIR expresses that the four, then assaulted and sexually attacked her and fled from the spot. Later in the day, when the guardians of the young lady returned home from work, the young lady informed her mom concerning what the four young men had done to her.
The mother drew nearer the Pimpri police headquarters at night and a FIR was enlisted under Indian Penal Code (IPC) segment 376D (gang rape, according to the 2013 IPC alteration), 377 (unnatural act) and segments of Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012.
Senior inspector VV Muglikar, responsible for Pimpri police headquarters said, “After the young lady educated her mom concerning the episode a FIR was enlisted. In light of what the young lady enlightened us regarding the charged purchases, we initially confined one of them and he drove us to the next three. After a medicinal examination, the young lady has now been admitted to a clinic and is being dealt with. She will likewise be given guiding.”
Muglikar included, “The casualty and young men live in a similar ghetto territory and their folks are all workers. Two of the young men go to a neighborhood school.”
Police Sub Inspector Ratna Sawant said, “The four young men have been confined and have been remanded to perception in the wake of being delivered before the Juvenile Justice Board.”
