Mumbai: A shocking incident occurred on Wednesday night as the gas cylinder blast devastated the ground floor of an under-construction building at Juhu in Mumbai. In the mishap 6 people killed and 11 wounded seriously.
At around 10.10 pm on Wednesday night fire devastated the ground floor of the 13-flours Prarthana building close to Kaifi Azmi Park. The building is under-construction and labourers were residing on the ground floor.
After getting information fire extinguishers and two water tankers rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control within one hour.
P Rahangdale, chief fire officer of the Mumbai fire brigade conveyed that ten of the 17 people immediately hurried to the Cooper hospital prior to the fire extinguishers reached the spot and the bodies of six killed in the mishap were so burnt, that even their sex cannot be indebted.
Rahangdale further conveyed that the fire was brought under control within an hour, but hurt LPG cylinders and stoves found at the site strengthen the fire at first stage.
