Singtel will get Temasek's 7.39 for each penny stake in Bharti Telecom and another 21 for every penny stake in Thai telecom firm Intouch Holdings PCL for an aggregate thought of $ 1.8 bn
Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) today said it will purchase 7.39 for each penny stake in Bharti Telecom Ltd, the holding organization of India's biggest telecom firm Bharti Airtel, for USD 659.5 million (over Rs 4,400 crore).
Singtel will gain Temasek's 7.39 for each penny stake in Bharti Telecom and another 21 for every penny stake in Thai telecom firm Intouch Holdings PCL for an aggregate thought of 2.47 billion Singapore dollar (USD 1.8 billion).
Of this, it will pay Temasek Singapore Dollar 884 million (USD 659.51 million), for the stake in Bharti Telecom.
Bharti Telecom holds 45.09 for each penny in Mumbai-recorded Bharti Airtel Ltd. The Mittal family has 51 for each penny stake in Bharti Telecom while Singtel held 39 for every penny stake. Temasek held 7.39 for every penny, which it is currently exchanging to Singtel as a feature of procedure to bring all telecom resources worldwide under the Singapore government element.
"Singtel today went into contingent offer buy concurrences with Temasek to obtain 21 for every penny of Intouch Holdings Public Company Ltd (Intouch) and 7.39 for each penny of Bharti Telecom Ltd (Bharti Telecom) for an aggregate thought of Singapore Dollar 2.47 billion," Singtel said in an announcement.
The acquisitions will be settled completely in real money.
Singtel will pay Temasek Thai Baht 60.83 for every offer of Intouch and Rs 235.62 for every offer of Bharti Telecom.
Bharti Airtel was exchanging 1.78 for every penny higher at Rs 351.40 on BSE at 1250 hours.
The exchange is liable to the satisfaction of specific conditions point of reference, including shareholder and significant administrative endorsements, and is required to be finished by December 2016, Singtel said.
Bharti declined to remark.
"This exchange will be financed through inward money, transient obligation and continues from an offer arrangement of 386 million new Singtel shares to Temasek totalling Singapore Dollar 1.605 billion at a cost of Singapore Dollar 4.16 for every new share.

Intouch is the greatest shareholder in Thailand's biggest versatile administrator Advanced Info Services Public Company Ltd (AIS).
