Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya may be in trouble after sexual assault on female journalist

Mumbai: Bollywood singer of yesteryear, Abhijeet, caused a considerable Twitter buzz on Saturday after his tweets replete with ‘filth’ targetted journalists on the microblogging site. He tweets on the issue over the murder of the Chennai Infosys techie Swathi, whose dead body was found on Chennai’s Nungumbakkam railway station. The singer may have gotten into trouble as the matter was brought to the notice of the Mumbai Police, who are now looking into the matter.

In his tweets, Abhijeet claimed that the murder was a Love Jihad case by tweeting, “Hindu parents want #JusticeforSwati /revenge 4 our child #SWATI who was butchered by #LoveJihad…”

While Abhijeet implied that Swathi’s murderer was a Muslim, the suspected murderer arrested by Chennai Police was Ramkumar. Many people on Twitter demanded Mumbai Police to act against Abhijeet for allegedly trying to cause a riot by creating religious tension among people with his tweet.

When a journalist tweeted against Abhijeet on the same issue, it rubbed the singer off, who then took to Twitter and humiliated the female journalist by writing, “बेशर्म बुढ़िया..U not proud of Indians? Wats your breed? U sk pakis..I fk Pakis, U lick..I kick, dnt block just wait.” Soon, Twitteratis took over and roasted Abhijeet yet again.
