HYDERABAD: Badminton Champion Saina Nehwal begins taking training at national coach Pullela Gopichand’s academy from now onwards. Saina had left his academy three years back and joined Vimal Kumar’s academy located in Bengaluru in year 2014.
Recently, Saina Nehwal was noticed conversing with Gopichand during the World Championships held in Glasgow.
Saina Nehwal had a productive time under the guidance of Vimal Kumar. She even clinched world No.1 position, clinched two World Championship medals and also entered the All England final match.
Since three years, Saina wasn’t in contact with Gopichand and had uphold a distance from him. As per the reports, the duo weren’t talking to each other. Saina had clinched several medals including international titles under Gopichand’s guidance. She was the only Indian to won bronze medal at the Olympics game.
As per the reports, she was eager to take guidance of Bhaskar Baby following the triumph in Commonwealth Games in year 2010. Later, she goes back to instruct with Go pichand.
As per the sources, Saina wishes to reside in Hyderabad, though, several changes have come in past three years. For Saina, it wouldn’t be easy to secure place in his academy as several renowned badminton champions including PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy, Parupalli Kashyap etc are taking training from Gopichand.
