Mumbai: Punjab’s U-19 player Shubman Gill showed his terrific performance by clinching six sixes against Karnataka in a Vijay Hazare match held on Sunday. His show helped the team to score 269 runs for 3 wickets against opponent team.
Shubman stayed unbeaten on 123 score on Sunday against Karnataka in Group A match. The player clinched three fifties and one century during ICC U-19 World Cup in New Zealand earlier.
Gill’s 122-ball 123 runs comprised of 8 fours and 6 sixes. He ended the game with a strike rate of 100.82.
In List A table, the teenager matches the score with Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh’s share of six sixes for Punjab.
On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh had clinched 51 runs of 25 balls in year 2014 against Gujarat whereas Yuvraj achieved 93 runs against Mumbai in year 2015.
Till now, Punjab team has participated in four games in the Vijay Hazare trophy. Currently, they are at the fifth position with eight points in Group A. They have triumph two games and couldn’t able to win two games.
