The shooting of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil Romantic Drama “Kaatru Veliyidai” will be done in Kashmir in the month-end of September. The film has a starcast Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead role.
“The team will head to Kashmir to shoot some important sequences this month-end. They were supposed to go earlier but due to the delay in the completion of the first schedule, it had to be postponed,” a source said.
Some scenes of Karthi, Aditi and Shraddha Srinath will be shot in Kashmir while the shooting of two songs have already been done.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres next year. The song in the film has been sung by AR Rahman and the cinematography has been done by Ravi Varman.
On thursday, the first look of the film was unveiled on the social media site. In the movie, Karthi plays a pilot, and is said to romance with Aditi Rao Hydari who plays the role of a doctor.
A renowned Malayalam actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha will also be seen in the film Amaram and Shantham. “She has joined the sets in Ooty. She plays a Muslim character in the film,” a source said.
The film is produced by Madras Talkies. It has star cast Shraddha Srinath, Rukmini Vijayakumar, RJ Balaji, Delhi Ganesh and veteran Malayalam actress Lalitha.
